Clausing's positive-power variable drive is built for smooth performance. Pulleys are grey iron, fully machined and balanced. Pulley sleeves are ground and hard-chrome plated. Two ball bearings support drive in head...and a third ball bearing in variable control mechanism absorbs thrust. Bearings are lubricated-for-life. Cog belt transmits full power to spindle at every speed.

Drive is constructed throughout for heavy duty use. Pulleys are long wearing aluminum alloy, fully machined and balanced. Splined steel driver is supported by two lubricated-for-life ball bearings.

Speed changes are easy...motor base is hinged for quick belt release and proper tensioning.
